By Jessica Connors

Are you desperate to lose weight? Do you think that you can go up to any means so as to lose weight? Well, you don't need to work on to hard, just follow the simple steps included below and you are sure to attain your fat loss goals.

*Make sure to set a weight loss goal and try hard to attain it. Unless and until you are setting a goal of how much fat you wish to lose and how much muscle you wish to gain, you are doing nothing but dreaming. You need to set specific goals and jot them in pen and paper. For instance, if you want to lose fat, then you need to do so by hook or by crook. Get real and let your body know that "yes you will lose fat". If you don't think in this way then it is quite likely that you are not serious about your weight loss plan.

*Have you ever doubted the significance of water? If that's so, then just stay without water and see how it feels. Water plays a viable role in weight loss and you need to keep your body hydrated no matter what. Make sure you drink a minimum of one gallon of water, if possible a bit more. Always keep a bottle of water by your side.

*If possible, go in for the foods that are raised or grown without any food additives and harmful chemical sprays. Make sure to wash the fruits prior to eating them. Enzymes derived from natural fruit promote weight loss.Go in for steamed veggies. If needed, cook them using minimum amount of water. Don't overcook the vegetables because this may deplete the essential vitamins present in them. Use the water for broths and soups as it promotes weight loss.

*Minimize or eliminate the use of refined sugar like dextrose, corn syrup, fructose, dextrose, sucrose, brown sugar etc. Instead have natural sugars like unprocessed honey ( in moderate amounts), blackstrap molasses, carob powder, rose hips powder, date powder.

*If you fail to acknowledge the behavior that allowed you to gain weight, then it would be difficult on your part to attain your weight loss goal. Hence, you need to first identify the reason that triggered you off. Next, make sure that you don't give any lame excuses for not exercising. In simple words, you need to identify the reasons that led to your weight gain and work on ideas to cope up from these issues.

*Don't go in for prepackaged pastries, breads, ice cream, frozen or ready to eat cured meats. It is because these food stuffs are saturated with artificial colorings, preservatives, synthetic emulsifiers, chemical flavoring agents, stabilizers, extenders, to name a few. Cut down on your intake of fats. Avoid trans fats on the whole. Don't even go in for the partially hydrogenated and hydrogenated ones. Avoid using cooking oils (palm oil, peanut oil), animal fats and margarine because they contain high amounts of saturated fats. You can instead go in for polyunsaturated oils like cold pressed safflower and oil rice bran oil as well as sweet butter.

*Eliminate the intake of carbonated soda, tea, coke and coffee. You can instead go in for healthy choices like decaffeinated herbal teas, water and fruit juices.Don't go in for canned fruit and vegetables as they are either overcooked or prepared in fructose and sugar solution. Don't go in for fast foods because they are prepared using additives and salt.
