Planning A vacation? Read This.

By Alex Colin

If you are one of those that prefer to explore the world, and adventure is your idea of a perfect vacation then read on...

Adventure trips are best when your group is relatively small, say 4-5 individuals at the most. You start off with a long ride in the all terrain four wheel drive SUV you just bought. You fill it up and off you and your friends go, singing cheering and discussing the promises the trip holds. You've been waiting for this for months and want to make it as enjoyable an experience as possible! You have been busy buying hiking and trekking gear for the past week and sure it wasn't cheap but you know it is worth it.

You have stocked up on the canned food rations and in your gear you have a fishing rod and baits that you hope the fish would catch on. This week long trip would include trekking on the hillside, a visit to the lake where you have planned on fishing, swimming, exploring, camping and then a trip back to the location where you parked your SUV, thereby concluding what you believe to be a very memorable trip.

You have reached your base and parked the SUV and now starts your climb, all of you strap on your backpacks and grab on to your wooden staffs which you have fashioned from the branches. Your buddies chat together making some of the chatter unintelligible but the excitement that springs forth powers you all forward. The woods are silent and the crunching of the soft forest bed is eerie and refreshing. After a few miles everyone settles down and has some refreshments. After a few miles it's almost dusk and you find a clearing in the woods and prepare for the night. You now sit around a campfire in your tents.

After lots of gossip and sharing talks, everyone retires for the night. Next morning, you start hiking and reach the lake by the midday. Bursting forth with excitement everyone jumps into the lake for a quick swim. The warm sun tingling on your skin is delicious and you settle in for a reassuring nap after the hiking. You catch a fish, a large one, and roast it for dinner! The enjoyment continues on the days forth and you explore the forest and the natural world around the lake. After some days you start the trip down and discussing the events of the days past you don't even realize that it is almost halfway there and tomorrow you will be on the SUV bound for home, filled with reminiscences of a vacation well spent.
